What is the Mobi-TRE “Hajti Bik” Project?
The Mobi-TRE "Hajti Bik" Phase 2 project is implemented by the International Organization for Migration (IOM) in Tunisia, funded by the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS). Successful projects will receive a complementary funding in the form of an IOM grant, double the value of the ERR contribution, up to a maximum of 17,000 euros.
P.S.: The IOM grant will be given in the form of specific purchases of goods, materials or equipment.
What are the conditions of participation for TREs?
TREs must make a financial commitment to the Tunisian entrepreneur's project by paying the amount agreed upon in the business plan into the company's bank account.
How does IOM support projects beyond financing?
IOM accompanies selected projects by providing 12 months of technical support, including coaching sessions, specialized and cross-disciplinary training, digital marketing training and export-oriented assistance. This support aims to ensure the viability and longevity of the companies supported.
IOM will also provide an accounting and legal firm to support the business partners (the entrepreneur in Tunisia and the TRE) in the steps required to bring the business to fruition.
What are the project evaluation criteria?
Projects will be evaluated on their originality, capacity to generate employment, technical and financial feasibility, profitability, long-term viability and marketing potential. Particular emphasis is placed on the social and environmental impact of projects.
P.S.: to check the evaluation grid, please view page 5 of the Terms of Reference.
What is the selection process?
A selection committee, made up of institutional partners, will evaluate the applications according to the above-mentioned criteria. Projects will receive a score based on these criteria, and the best applications/projects will be finalists.
Each project is evaluated and given a score out of 100, based on a series of predefined criteria. The top 30 entries, ranked in order of merit, will be selected for this phase. It is important to note that only projects scoring a minimum of 60 points (out of 100) will be considered for selection after evaluation.
