Additional Workshops and Information Sessions – Launch of the Call for Projects for Tunisian Entrepreneurs and Tunisian Investors Resident Abroad (TRE)

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) in Tunisia announces the launch of the Call for Projects within the framework of the "Mobi-TRE" project Phase 2 "Migration as a resource: mobilizing the Tunisian diaspora and stabilizing disadvantaged communities in Tunisia". The project is funded by the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS) and implemented by IOM, in close collaboration with the Ministry of Vocational Training and Employment as well as institutional partners and authorities in Tunisia at national and regional levels. The Hajti Bik component of this project aims to mobilize innovative initiatives contributing to Tunisia's economic development, with particular emphasis on regions with high migration potential.

This Call for Projects focuses on promoting the effective realization of a Matching between a Tunisian entrepreneur and a Tunisian investor Resident Abroad (TRE). It aims to create sustainable jobs, reduce poverty, and promote the link between migration and development. It is open to Tunisian entrepreneurs in Tunisia and Tunisians Resident Abroad (in Côte d’Ivoire, France, Germany, Italy, and Saudi Arabia only), who are invited to submit their applications from January 15th, 2024, to February 29th, 2024.

Due to the success of previous workshops and information sessions, participants are kindly invited to join additional sessions dedicated to the presentation of Phase 2 of the Mobi-TRE project and the launch of the Call for Projects. These sessions will be organized with institutional partners in Tunisia as follows:  

  • 2 workshops on January 31st and February 1st, from 8:30am to 12:45pm, in regional development areas for young entrepreneurs in Tunisia and Tunisians Resident Abroad (TRE) available in Tunisia on these dates: Maison des jeunes Skhira in Sfax (January 31st) and Maison des jeunes in Tozeur (February 1st). These workshops will include an interactive Q&A session and a B2B (Business to Business) session, promoting interaction between participants.
  • One online information session on January 31st, 2024, from 2pm to 4pm for Tunisians Resident Abroad (TRE).
